Affordable access to mental health services for rural Australia
At Rural Health Connect we do not want money to be the reason anyone does not access help. We are lucky to work with some amazing psychologists who feel the same way. However their businesses need to be sustainable so that they can keep doing what they do. To help achieve this, we have created three tiers of pricing options for you select from at sign up, and we ask you to choose the option that best suits your circumstances.
- I need to be bulk billed.This means there is no cost when the sessions are done under Medicare. This option is available to those with a healthcare card or experiencing hardship.
- Financial difficulty:I am experiencing financial hardship and will pay the reduced gap fee specified by the psychologist. I understand that I will pay the rebate amount of $93.35 for psychologists or $137.05 for clinical psychologists PLUS the reduced gap amount and then receive the rebate back from Medicare.
- I can pay the psychologist’s prescribed fee:And if applicable receive back the Medicare rebate.
You will need a referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP to receive Medicare support for your sessions.
You will then be able to access up to 10 Medicare subsidised sessions per calendar year.
